Frances is responsible for strategic business development in Dolmen.
Her role also involves delivering workshops and mentoring companies in best practice product design processes, including the Bioinnovate programme in NUIG, Ryan Academy and various LEO programmes nationally.
In the past year she has been building strategic H2020 partnerships across Europe, embedding design thinking into research proposals, ensuring more of a market focus to research outcomes and developing innovation management approaches to cross discipline research consortia.
Previous to this role she was Head of Programme Development in the Innovation Academy UCD, a role focused on educating multi-disciplinary PhDs and postgraduate students to be more entrepreneurial, creative and innovative with their research. Before this role she was CEO of Crash Ensemble, Ireland’s leading new classical music ensemble and previous to that she worked for Procter & Gamble as an engineer in northern France.
Frances has trained with Roche Martin on EQ and Leadership, Kaos Pilots on the Art and Craft of Facilitating Learning Spaces, Google on Digital Marketing, NatCen on Qualitative Research Design and with Steve Blank in Berkeley on the Lean Launchpad for Educators.
She has a BE in Mechanical Engineering (UCD), an MPhil in Music and Media Technologies (TCD), an MBA (DCU) and a Professional Certificate in University Teaching (UCD).
